EcoGloss
An e-commerce site for EcoGloss, a pH-balanced car shampoo brand, built on Designova's white-label CRM platform with a full dashboard for customers, orders, payments, and analytics.
Context
The Problem
EcoGloss sells pH-balanced car shampoo safe for ceramic coatings and wax finishes, and needed both a storefront to sell direct and a back office to run the business, customers, orders, payments, without stitching together separate tools.
My Role
Design
- Designed the storefront, product pages, and cart and checkout flow in Figma
- Designed the CRM dashboard: customers, orders, payments, analytics, and SEO tools
Frontend
- Next.js and React with Radix UI, React Hook Form and Zod for every form
- Product catalog, cart, and checkout, plus the full CRM dashboard
- Role-based dashboard views for client owner, staff, and internal admin access
Backend
- Firebase Auth (via NextAuth) and Firestore for customers, orders, and CRM data
- Stripe for checkout and payments, with a webhook handler for order status
- Cloudflare R2 for product images and document storage
Infrastructure & DevOps
- PDF invoice generation for orders
- Deployed on Vercel
Solution & Process
Design Validation
Built EcoGloss on Designova's white-label CRM platform instead of a one-off store, so the storefront and the back office, customers, orders, payments, analytics, share one system instead of a store bolted to a separate CRM.
Technical Stack Selection
Built on Next.js with NextAuth and Firebase for authentication, Firestore for customers, orders, and product data, Stripe for payments, and Cloudflare R2 for file storage. A role-based access system separates client owner, staff, and internal Designova access to the same dashboard.
Technical Decisions & Trade-offs
Built EcoGloss as a deployment of Designova's reusable CRM platform rather than a bespoke build, so a car care brand gets a full commerce and operations system without paying for one built from zero.
